MRI & Imaging of
Georgia)
While still in high school, I formed a very
successful business, Balloons by the Bunch, that
grew to a dozen full-time employees and yearly
revenues of over $350,000.00. After an
unsolicited offer was presented to me, I sold the
business and went to work for a division of the
Prudential Insurance Company. In June of 1994, I
accepted a position with KPMG Peat Marwick.
Several promotions later, I attained the position
of Senior Associate in the Knowledge Management
Department (firm-wide Intranet). In 2003, after
almost ten years with KPMG, I decided to switch
careers. I obtained my real estate license and
went to work for the North Atlanta Partners of
Keller Williams, a rapidly expanding real estate
brokerage firm. A short while later an intriguing
technical position presented itself with MedQuest
Associates, an Atlanta-based company that
provides healthcare services throughout the
southern United States. It offered an opportunity
for travel and an increase in my technical
expertise. I found myself on the front lines of
the business directly interfacing with the
physicians who are the foundational source of
revenue to this imaging business. At the
beginning of this year the Director of IT, Damian
Waller, extended my contract - and doubled my
starting salary.
I believe that the IT Steering Committee was
very impressed with my exemplary customer
service skills, my attention to detail, and my
eagerness to take on new tasks and goals.
However, halfway into this year the Director of
IT resigned his position and, shortly
thereafter, MedQuest announced its acquisition
by Novant Health. As a result, the short-term
goals of the company have changed - and the new
agenda does not include contractors.
With this in mind, I would be very interested
in discussing my potential to increase your
company's bottom line - either as a "full-time"
contractor...or as a permanent employee.
